Change product template

This guide describes how to assign one of Ronin's product page layouts to a product.

Ronin includes three product templates. All three use the Product information section with the same buy-box blocks (Vendor, Title, Price, Variant picker, Buy button, Inventory status, Description and Collapsible rows), so switching templates does not change what you can sell. They differ in how the gallery is laid out and which sections follow the product.

Assign a template to a product​

  1. On your store's Shopify admin page, from the left-side menu, select Products, then select the product you want to change.

  1. On the product page, find the Theme template box in the right-hand column and select the template you want: Default product, product-2 or product-3.

  1. Select Save at the top of the page.

Edit the layout​

  1. Open the Theme editor (Sales channels > Online store > Themes > Customize).
  2. From the page selector at the top, select Products and the template you assigned.
  3. Select the Product information section in the sidebar to edit its settings:
    • Media layout: Carousel shows one slide at a time; Stack shows every image at once in a justified wall.
    • Media sticky: keeps the media pinned while the details scroll. With Stack, the wall keeps scrolling and only the product details stay pinned.
    • Gallery type, Media aspect ratio and Enable image zoom: control the carousel and its images.
    • Enable sticky cart and Sticky cart type: show a sticky add-to-cart bar, as Quick add or Standard add.
  4. Select one of the section's blocks to edit the buy box, or add sections below it.
  5. Select Save.
tip

Stack works best for products with many images, and the default Carousel for products with a short gallery. Section-by-section details are on the Product sections page.

To change the template for many products at once, select them in the product list, select ... > Edit products (bulk editor) and add the Theme template column.
