Target pages (popups) and Other pages (header)

Choose which pages show a popup, or which pages use the transparent header. Both fields work the same way: you enter a list of rules, one per line.

Where to find the field

Popups (Promo, Sign-up, Countdown promo, Age verification)

  1. In the theme editor, open the popup section.

  2. Under Conditions, set Where to show to Target pages.

  3. The Target pages field appears below.

Header

  1. Under Use absolute on pages, the header sits on top of the first section of the page instead of above it. This works well with a full-width banner or slideshow.

  2. In the theme editor, open the Header section.

  3. Under Use absolute on pages, check Enable, then uncheck All.

  4. Check the page types you want: Home, Product, Collection, List collections, Blog.

  5. For any other page, check Others. The Other pages field appears below.

How to write rules

Enter one rule per line. The popup or transparent header appears on a page if it matches any of your rules.

There are 2 kinds of rules.

1. Page type: matches every page of that type

2. Part of a URL: matches a specific page

Enter the part of the page's URL that comes after your domain, without the

To targetRule
The Contact page (/pages/contact)pages/contact
One product (/products/blue-shirt)products/blue-shirt
One collection (/collections/sale)collections/sale
One blog (/blogs/news)blogs/news

Important: URL rules work on product, collection, blog, article and regular pages in popups. In the header, they only work on regular pages (pages/...).

Tip: A URL rule matches any URL that contains it. pages/contact also matches /pages/contact-us. Write the full handle to target only the page you mean.

Examples

Show a popup on the home page, all product pages, the cart and the Contact page:

index
product
cart
pages/contact

Show a popup only on the Sale collection and one product:

collections/sale
products/blue-shirt

Use the transparent header on the cart page, the search page and the About page (header → Others → Other pages):

cart
search
pages/about
